English: Maize Stage:- Sowing, Start sowing of maize. Sow only the PAU recommended hybrids/varieties. To avoid the adverse effect of excess rainfall, particularly at seedling emergence, sow the maize seed on top centre of the bed with row-to-row spacing of 67.5 cm and plant to plant spacing of 18 cm or sowing should be done on the side of ridges preferably 6-7 cm above base with 60 cm apart rows and plant to plant spacing should be 20 cm.

Sugarcane
English: Sugarcane Stage: Planting :- Irrigate the crop at 7 to 12 days interval.Pyrilla: Pyrilla reduces cane yield and sugar recovery heavily. This pest appears in May. The leaves of the damaged crop turn yellow. To control Spray the crop with 600 mL Dursban 20 EC (chlorpyriphos) in 400 litres of water per acre with manually operated sprayer.For effective control of seasonal grass, sedge and broad leaf weeds,post-emergence application of 1200 g per acre Triskele/Trishuk (2,4-D sodium salt 44% + metribuzin 35% + pyrazosulfuron ethyl 1.0%) WDG or 1000 g per acre Sindica (2,4- D sodium salt 48% + metribuzin 32% + chlorimuron ethyl 0.8%) WDG in 200 litres of water at 3-5 leaf stage of weeds provides For fields infested with dila only, post-emergence application of 2,4-D sodium salt 80 WP @800 g per acre 2, 4-D sodium salt 80 WP in 200 litres of water should be applied. In fields infested with Ipomoea spp. (lapeta vel) and other broadleaf weeds, apply 800 g of or 400 mL per acre 2,4-D amine salt 58 SL in 200 litres of water at 3 to 5 leaf stage.

Green gram
English: Summer Moong Stage Vegetative:- Last irrigation to summer moong should be stopped 55 days after sowing. This would help in uniform ripening of the crop.

Turmeric
English: Turmeric Stage;- Sowing, Start planting turmeric in this month. Planting of turmeric should be done in rows 30 cm apart by keeping plant to plant distance of 20 cm. Six to eight quintal of rhizomes are sufficient for sowing one acre. Apply 10-12 tonnes of well-rotten Farm Yard Manure before planting and 60 kg single super phosphate per acre at planting.Sow turmeric as intercrop in popular planted fields.

English: Fodders Stage:- Sowing, Start sowing of fodder maize, cowpea, sorghum, bajra, Napier bajra and guinea grass to get early fodder. It will provide good quality fodder during lean period. Berseem for seed production should be frequently irrigated. Kashni and other weeds should be rogued out.
