Northern Telangana

• The prevailing warm and humid weather conditions are favorable for causing leaf spot and leaf blotch disease in turmeric.
• If symptoms are observed, spray Trifloxystrobin + Tebuconazole @ 0.4g per litre of water for about two times at 15 days’ interval when rains cease.

Southern Telangana

• If the maize crop is at the grain hardening stage, open the calyx to expose the grains to the sun to prevent powdery mildew disease.
• In view of continuous rains, para wilt was observed in cotton. To control, remove excess water from the field and spray 13-0-45 @ 10 g per litre and simultaneously perform soil drenching with Copper-Oxy-Chloride @ 3g per litre twice at 2-3 days’ interval.
