Flash Flood Alert 13 August 2025

Flash Flood Alert issued by India Meteorological Department Valid until 11:30 IST, 14-08-2025 via press release number 4216 dated 13 August 2025.

Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand A low to moderate flash flood risk is expected over select watersheds and neighborhoods in the following meteorological sub-divisions within the next 24 hours:

  • Himachal Pradesh: Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti, Mandi, Shimla, and Sirmaur districts.
  • Uttarakhand: Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, and Uttarkashi districts.

Surface runoff and inundation may occur in low-lying areas and regions with fully saturated soils within the Area of Concern (AoC), as indicated on the map, due to anticipated rainfall in the next 24 hours.

Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim A low to moderate flash flood risk is expected over select watersheds and neighborhoods in the following meteorological sub-divisions within the next 24 hours:

  • Bihar: Arariya and Kishanganj districts.
  • Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim: East Sikkim, North Sikkim, West Sikkim, Darjeeling, and Uttar Dinajpur districts.

Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, North Interior Karnataka, Telangana, and Marathwada A low to moderate flash flood risk is expected over select watersheds and neighborhoods in the following meteorological sub-divisions within the next 24 hours:

  • Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam: East Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, and West Godavari districts.
  • North Interior Karnataka: Bidar and Gulbarga districts.
  • Telangana: Jagtial, Kamareddy, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Medak, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy, Suryapet, and Vikarabad districts.
  • Marathwada: Latur, Nanded, and Osmanabad districts.
