North Coastal Zone

  • Drain out excess water from sugarcane, rice, maize, ragi, red gram, and vegetable fields.
  • Utilizing the moisture after rains, apply the third dose of urea @ 25 kg/acre and 17 kg of muriate of potash at the panicle initiation stage in rice after cessation of rainfall.
  • Go for planting of perennial fruit crops.

High Altitude Tribal Zone

  • Drain out excess water from rice, sugarcane, maize, finger millets, groundnut, ginger, turmeric, fruit orchards, and vegetable fields.
  • Perform intercultural operations/earthing-up after rains when the soil is workable in sugarcane.

Scarce Rainfall Zone

  • Rice crop is at panicle initiation to grain development stage. Current weather conditions are favorable for the incidence of stem borer and leaf folder in paddy.
  • Based on infestation, spray Chlorpyriphos @ 2.5 ml or Chlorantraniliprole @ 0.3 ml/litre of water.
  • For correction of Mg deficiency in cotton, spray MgSO4 @ 10g twice at 45 and 75 days after sowing (DAS).

Southern Zone

  • In mango fields where stem cuttings were not taken up after the mango season, anthracnose leaf spot, black band disease, and gummosis are likely to occur.
  • To control, apply any copper-based fungicides along with 1% Bordeaux paste after pruning the stems.

Krishna Godavari Zone

  • If the rice field is submerged due to rains, drain out the water completely from the main field.
  • Add an additional dose of 20 kgs of urea and potash fertilizers each per 1 acre to the paddy fields.
