Western Plain Zone

Water Management

Ensure proper drainage arrangements for pigeon pea crops to prevent waterlogging.

Weed Control in Paddy

Apply Pretilachlor 50 EC at 1.25 liters per 800 liters of water, three to four days after transplanting, to control weeds in paddy crops.

Disease Management

If symptoms of Khaira disease appear in crops, spray a mixture of 5 kg Zinc sulphate and 2.5 kg lime in 800 liters of water.

Vegetable Crop Support

Provide scaffolding for bottle gourd vegetables to support growth.

Nursery and Transplanting

Raise nurseries for crops like brinjal, chilli, tomato, and early cauliflower, and transplant ready seedlings.

Central Zone

Weed Control in Paddy

To manage broad and narrow leaf weeds in paddy, apply Bopyridae Sodium 10% SC at 0.20 liters per hectare, dissolved in 500-600 liters of water, 15-20 days after transplanting. Spray when the sky is clear and soil moisture is adequate.

Pest Control in Maize

To prevent stem borer or shoot fly pests in maize, apply Emamectin benzoate 5% SG at 200 g/ha or Dimethoate 30% EC at 1.0 liter/ha in 600-700 liters of water during clear weather.

Sesame Crop Maintenance

Perform the first weeding in sesame crops 15-20 days after sowing when the sky is clear.

Groundnut Crop Care

In the absence of rain, weed groundnut crops 20-25 days after sowing, apply 100 kg gypsum per hectare, perform light hoeing, and cover plants with soil.

Sugarcane Management

Maintain drainage channels in sugarcane fields to remove excess rainwater. To manage white grubs, use light traps or spray insecticides on plants.

Bundelkhand Zone

Orchard Establishment

This is an ideal time to establish new orchards with crops like mango, guava, litchi, aonla, jackfruit, lemon, jamun, ber, banana, and papaya.

Fertilizer Application in Rice

Apply 30 kg nitrogen per hectare for high-yielding non-basmati rice varieties and 15 kg nitrogen per hectare for scented varieties, 25-30 days after transplanting.

Pest Control in Paddy

To control stem borer in paddy, apply Carbofuran at 20 kg per hectare or Chlorpyriphos 20 EC at 1.5 liters per hectare in 600 liters of water.

Pest Control in Sesame

To manage leaf sucker or hopper pests in sesame, spray Neem oil at 5 ml/liter of water or Imidacloprid 17.8 SL at 0.3 ml/liter of water during clear weather.

Monitoring Vegetable Crops

Regularly monitor okra, chilli, and cucurbitaceous crops for mite and jassid attacks.

Eastern Plain Zone

Sowing Kharif Crops

Continue sowing pigeon pea, soybean, maize, groundnut, green gram, black gram, barnyard millet, sanwa, and kodo during fair weather.

Orchard Planting

Plant mango, aonla, ber, and bel in pre-dug and filled pits.

Basmati Rice Transplanting

Transplant recommended Basmati rice varieties such as Pusa-1509, Pusa Basmati-1, Pusa-1121, and Pusa-1692.

Khaira Disease Control

To control Khaira disease, spray a mixture of 5 kg Zinc sulphate and 2.5 kg lime in 800 liters of water.

Vegetable Sowing

Sow cucumber, bitter gourd, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, ash gourd, amaranth, and radish. Continue sowing Kharif okra.

Banana Orchard Preparation

Prepare fields for planting new banana orchards using tissue-cultured, disease-resistant G-9 variety.

Fodder Crop Preparation

Prepare fields for sowing improved varieties of fodder seeds.

Pest Control in Chilli

To control thrips in chilli crops, spray Fipronil 5 SC at 1 ml per liter of water.
