Coastal Zone
- Undertake planting of new arecanut saplings in hilly areas.
- Avoid waterlogging in orchards to prevent diseases; provide drainage facilities where required.
- Maintain optimum water level in paddy fields and keep bunds weed-free.
- In coconut, to manage stem bleeding, scrape the stem portion and apply 1% Bordeaux paste or drench with Hexaconazole @ 2ml/litre (3 litres per palm) and apply 5kg of neem cake per palm.

Hill Zone
- Incidence of button dropping and inflorescence dieback in arecanut; spray Carbendazim @ 1g/litre or Mancozeb @ 2g/litre of water for control.
- In cotton, if whitefly, jassids, or aphids are present, spray Imidacloprid 178 SL @ 0.5 ml or Oxydemeton Methyl @ 1.5 ml per litre of water.
- Ensure proper drainage in sugarcane fields to prevent waterlogging.
North Transition Zone
- Complete harvesting of soybean and groundnut and prepare land for sowing rabi crops.
- Prepare land for sowing rabi sorghum and safflower; undertake sowing where soil conditions are favorable.
- Ensure proper drainage in sugarcane fields to prevent waterlogging and avoid fertilizer application during heavy rainfall.
- Para wilt noticed in cotton due to excess soil moisture; drench with Saaf @ 2g and 19:19:19 @ 5g per litre of water to manage.

North East Dry Zone
- Harvest matured sorghum, bajra, maize, sunflower, and groundnut during clear weather and store safely.
- To control Spodoptera in groundnut, spray Metarhizium anisopliae @ 4g or Emamectin benzoate 5 SG @ 0.2g or Thiodicarb @ 1g per litre of water.
- In tomato, if fruit borer is noticed, spray Thiodicarb 75WP or Emamectin benzoate 5 SG @ 1g per litre of water.
North Dry Zone
- To manage pod borer in pigeon pea, spray ovicidal insecticide Profenophos 50 EC @ 2ml dissolved in one litre of water.
- To manage leaf miner in groundnut, spray Quinalphos 25 EC @ 2 ml or Dimethoate 30 EC @ 2 ml/litre.

North East Transition Zone
- Undertake harvesting of soybean and store in a safe place.
- Undertake sowing of safflower.
Eastern Dry Zone
- Install sticky yellow traps in tomato to reduce pest population.
- Undertake intercultural operations in finger millet, black gram, chilli, and cowpea; carry out thinning in finger millet.
- To control aphids in black gram and cowpea, spray Dimethoate 30 EC @ 1.75 ml/litre of water.

Southern Dry Zone
- Harvest matured vegetables during dry hours.
- Spray neem oil in pulses and ragi if no rain and provide staking to tomato, banana, and chilli.
- Rainfall and high humidity may cause fruit rot and late blight in tomato; ensure staking and drainage, spray protective fungicides like copper oxychloride or Mancozeb.
- Maintain proper drainage to avoid waterlogging in banana and apply potash for better fruit quality.
- Provide earthing-up to support sugarcane and apply recommended dose of nitrogen if pending.
- Avoid pesticide sprays during flowering–pod formation to protect pollinators and monitor for pod borers in black gram, green gram, field bean, and cowpea.
South Transition Zone
- Undertake harvesting of arecanut and groundnut.
- Maintain orchard sanitation to reduce incidence of spindle bug and fruit rot in arecanut.
- Provide staking and support to vines of black pepper.
- Increased maximum temperature may enhance activity of fall armyworm in maize, thrips, aphids, and leaf-eating insects in agri/horti crops; take plant protection measures.
