Cotton
At present cotton crop is in flowering to boll development stage.Under prevailed dry spell conditions, observed reddening of leaves, farmers are advised to go for foliar spraying of Potassium nitrate (13:0:45) @ 10 g + magnesium sulphate @ 10 g per liter of water twice in 7 days interval. After 4 days of first spray, go for foliar spraying of formula-4 (micro nutrient mixture) @ 5 g per litre of water.If flower drop was observed due to present dry spell conditions, spray borax @ 1.5 g per litre of water, 2 times at an interval of 1 week. If boll drop was observed due to present dry spell conditions, spray planofix @ 1 ml in 4.5 litre of water and micro nutrient mixture (max) @ 3 g per litre of water, 2 imes at an interval of 10-15 days.Prevailing weather conditions are favourable for sucking pest incidence.To control aphids, jassids and whitefly; spray Acephate @ 300 g or Acetamiprid @ 40 g or Afidopyropen @ 400 ml or Dimethoate @ 400 ml or Thiamethoxam @ 40 g per acre.To control thrips, erect Blue sticky traps @ 10-15 per acre and spray Cyantraniliprole @ 240 ml or Thiamethoxam @ 40 g or Acetamprid @ 40 g or Spinetoram @ 200 ml per acre.
Castor
At present castor crop is in vegetative to capsule development stage. Observed semilooper incidence. Control it by spraying of Acephate @ 1.5 gm or Profenophos @ 2 ml per acre.
Groundnut
At present, groundnut crop is in flowering to peg formation stage.Farmers are advised to apply 200 kg gypsum/acre at the time of flowering or pegging.Observed aphid incidence in some areas. To control it by spraying of dimethoate @ 400 ml (or) imidachloprid @ 60 ml (or) monocrotophos @ 320 ml per acre.Under prevailing weather conditions tobacco caterpillar infestation was observed. To control it by spraying of thiodicarb @ 1 g (or) novaluron @ 1 ml (or) flubendiamide @ 0.2 ml per litre of water.
Pigeon pea (red gram/arhar)
At present redgram crop is in vegetative stage. Observed flea beetle/weevil damage on the crop. To control it by spraying of choripyriphos @ 2.5 ml (or) acephate @ 1.5 g per litre of water.
Chilli
In areas where soil-borne diseases (root rot and wilt) are common in every year, farmers are advised to mix 2 kg of Trichoderma, 2 kg of Pseudomonas powder with 100 kg of farm yard manure (or) 200 kg neem powder, kept in shade for 12-15 days, after the growth of mold, should be applied at last ploughing. This will control the soil borne diseases.At present chilli crop is in nursery to vegetative stage. Observed damping off in some areas. Control it by drenching with Copper Oxy Chloride @ 3 g or Trichoderma @ 10 g per liter water.Farmers are advised to dip the seedlings in 5 ml imidachloprid and 10 g carbendazim solution per 10 litres of water for 5 minutes while transplanting.Observed thrips and root grub incidence.To control thrips by spraying of acephate @ 1.5 g (or) fipronil @ 0.3 g (or) diafenthiuron @ 1.5 g per litre of water. To control root grub by apply chlorpyriphos 10 G granules @ 10 kg (or) thiamethoxam + fipronil granules @ 5 kg per acre.
Buffalo
Prevailing weather conditions are favourable for Pneumonia, Mouth &Foot diseases in Buffalo and anthrax, entero toxemia in sheep and goat. To control, should go for vaccination. Don’t feed the livestock with the early stage green fodder crop because it contains poisonous substance i.e. “cyanide”, especially it is more in quantity in jowar crop. So, livestock should feed with matured green fodder crop.
