Crop is in tillering stage and there is weed infestation due lack of sufficient irrigation water and deficit rain fall. Spraying with post emergence herbicides like bispyribac sodium (Nominee Gold) 100 ml or Triafomone 20% + ethoxysulfuron 10% W.G (Council) 60gm per 1 acre is suggested to control all types of weeds upto 15 DAT. If broad leaved weeds are predominant, spray with 2- 4D sodium salt @ 400 g/acre is advocated upto 30 DAT
Pigeon pea (red gram/arhar)
Due to prevailing high temperatures and deficit rainfall, crop is subjected to moisture stress. Hence, foliar nutrition with potassium nitrate (13-0-45) @ 5g/litre is suggested to withstand moisture stress conditions. Soil moisture can be conserved by inter cultivation followed by mulching with crop residue.
Maize
Due to prevailing high temperatures and deficit rainfall, crop is subjected to moisture stress. Hence, foliar nutrition with potassium nitrate (13-0-45) @ 5g/litre is suggested to withstand moisture stress conditions. Regular interval irrigations has to apply based on the type of soil.
Green gram

Cotton
Crop is at 40-50 DAS. Moisture stress conditions and insufficient precipitation has led to the build up of sucking pest and pink boll worm. Installation of sticky traps and pheromone traps @ 6 per acre helps to reduce to pest incidence. Spraying with neem oil (1500 ppm) @ 300ml or imidachloprid @ 40 ml/acre helps to manage sucking pest and spraying with prophenophos 400 ml (or) Thiodicarb 300 grams (or) Chloropyriphos 500 ml/acre for control of pink boll worm. Intercultivation helps to control weeds and also conserves soil moisture.
